Born in Leeds in 1957, moved to the Midlands in 1960.

Painted in oil since 1975 mainly working from photographs and attended life drawing classes.

Over the years exhibited locally and taken on private commissions.

Self taught for many years, attended art classes at Warwickshire College and graduating with a

BA(Hons) Fine Art at UCE in Birmingham in 2004.

Painter of a wide range of subjects and styles

Ian now lives in Cornwall.

He is now a member of  DTTV (Drawn to the Valley) www.drawntothevalley.co.uk 

a large established group which includes artists from Devon & Cornwall

He is currently represented online by Saatchi Art and TAG (Tamar Art Gallery)

He helped set up the "Bridge Gallery", a collective of artists running their own art gallery.

He is currently represented by the art gallery of Saltram House

(NT Property) in Devon.
